I read an article yesterday that might interest some of you. There's going to be a blind girl on the Jeopardy Teen Tournament next week. Her eppisode airs on the 27th. How cool is that? Hope she does really well. I remember once there was a blind guy on there and he won the whole thing and got two cars lol. I think you just get money for Teen Tournament though. So be sure to watch next Thursday.
Man I used to dream of winning a Ferrari and so on still do as a matter of fact wistful smile...good luck to her I hope she wipes the floor with them!.
lol I don't normally post on the boards, but come on this one is about Jeopardy so I have to get my thoughts in. I say good luck to her. oh yeah, and I am very very very jealous. *smile* I'm going on that show someday. hehehe
the girl is a GDF grad too. :)
Dixie
PS Good luck!
clarification: I had heard that about her being a grad on a guide dog list I am on.

this was on another list
Blind Teen to Compete in the 2005 Jeopardy Teen Tournament
Our family would like to announce exciting news. Kerri Regan, 17 year
old
high school senior, was selected to appear on the 2005 Jeopardy Teen
Tournament. She was one of fifteen selected from 1500 applicants. The
show
was filmed in October. Jeopardy was very accommodating to all Kerri's
needs.
She used her Braille Note to write down her Final Jeopardy answer. We
spoke
with the CEO from Pulse Data prior to the show and they sent their
technical
people to make the technology accessible for Kerri.
You may watch Kerri compete on Thursday, January 27, 7 PM in New
York.
We are very proud of our daughter. This is a real triumph for the
blindness community.
Sincerely,
Liz and Bob Regan
New York
Yeah, and if you haven't figgured who it is by now...
James
Ok fine, I admit it, it was me.
wha? lol! im confused?! Well she did good I think. I was all proud! lol
Omg Krisme? Krisme? No waaay? Lol? Do you like have a video? I missed it! Dang it! How did you do it? Omgosh. I'm so proud of you hehehee!!! XOXOXOXXXOXX!
I signed up online when the /clue Crew came around testing people and took a test in New York City. Then in October, they told me I made it and i went out to L.A to film my show. It was so fun. I made some great friends, and won money and a laptop.
Omgosh that's totally awesome! Congrats again! Heh. I'd love to see it. ANd hear your voice, as I've never done that before lol. I dont' think I'd be good with Jeopardy. Maybe WHo Wants to Be A Millionaire when I'm older and smarter. But I didn't even grow up with Jeopardy or anything. Did you? Were the questions hard, or more geared toward teens? hahaha questions questions. But this is so nifty. You shoudl be very proud! Caitlin
I missed it...... But I'm glad you did well.
Kerry, somehow although i am not sure how i new it was you. I missed the show, cry... I am very glad for you though!!!! :) :) go girl!!!!
In Him,
Dixie
hey congrats! You go girl! lol! smile- angel
That's awesome! I've seen many blind folks on there.
Troy
Hey Kerri, it's Krista from Long Island too. The show was awesome! I hope more blind people try out for game shows. I would, but Idon't think there are any locally.
Hey Krista. Well why not go on jeopardy.com and see when the tryouts for college tournament are comming up? You'd probably do really well.
I find the questions of Geopardy tobe amazingly hard. I'm pretty good at some kinds of trivia, but it's amazing what out-there stuff they'll come up with, especially on regular geopardy. Even some of the high school geopardy questions were difficult; Ill have to watch more of the college ones. Anyway, I'm not sure my parents'd be willing to travel to L.A.
I saw that show. You did very well. lol better than I probably could have done
Damit I missed it. My grandma loves Jeperty! THat's so awesome! Congrats.
